Madrone Sargeantcy Scroll


A scroll conveying Sargeantcy status from fall 2014.   Ink and gouache on Bristol.  Based on motifs from the scribal modelbook of Gregorius Bock, ca 1510-1517, Swabia, Germany. Hand is gothic textura. http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/collections/highlights/medieval-scribal-pattern-book

An example of the fine lines in red. 

 The words on the small scrolls are chivalrous virtues, and the shield is the heraldry of the granting Barony.
