Spanish Sable Scrivner.

A Sable Scrivner given at September Crown 2016 based on the later pages of a Carta Ejecutoria de Hidalguia dated to 1592. Iron gall ink and gouache on pergamenta.

With faux binding for seal to hang from.

I used the standard text, translated it into Spanish and modified it to be more like a period Spanish text.

I also swapped a portrait of the recipient in for the portrait of King Phillip.

A page further on the exemplar, showing the ruling and flourishes.

Ruled in purple, like this exemplar. Red and green are other options.

Text written in my gothic rotunda hand, with flourishes and portrait sketch.
